Interview with Hudson's Takahashi Meijin

There is a great interview with Hudson's marketing man Takahashi Meijin posted at WiiWare World. The famed inspiration for Master Higgins (of Adventure Island fame) lists his favourite PC Engine games as R-Type and Blazing Lazers (Gunhed). Great choices!

"My favourite PC Engine (TurboGrafx) shooters are Gunhed (Blazing Lazers) and R-TYPE. Current STGs feature “How to escape from bullets”, not to shoot as many and fast as possible like before. Therefore, I don’t play the current STGs anymore."

The man who can hit a controller button 16 times a second is discussing Hudson's latest WiiWare release, Adventure Island: The Beginning in this interview.

Takahashi also commented on the success of the PC Engine/TurboGrafx Virtual Console...

"We knew that TurboGrafx had core fans. But Virtual Console generates more sales than we expected. We are very happy about it."
