PC Engine Hub Lounge.
« on: February 17, 2009, 11:59:59 AM »

We've accidentally lost all the former topics, thanks to some shithead spammer and their porn garbage. So to keep the ball rolling from where we left off, Xentor was asking what the heck happened to the forums with spam, and we chatted about the hard drive i had installed that Xentor gave to me.

Installed, wiping another drive, deleting some cracked programs i had on the other drives that had malware, and other malicious crap, and am trying to get the hub up and running again. Until i get some of this clutter straightened up, the hub will be down. I mentioned before that the hub was almost up last weekend, but i had a trojan, and had to format again. Was in the middle of tweaking settings on my router, and Ptokax, and BCDC, when stuff started to go awry.

Anybody that had accounts is still saved(Thanks to OD's backup) in the program. AS soon as i get it up i will post it here. I hope to have it up this weekend.

Ok gang. I have decided to open the hub up to share anything NON-PORN related, so there isn't much fussing about what clients to use for other hubs while on mine and such(which i never thought was a problem, i allowed almost every single DC client except the original, so it could save the "allowed" one/s to be free for the hubs that didn't like alternative DC clients.), and shoul open the hub up for more chat, and business.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT I DO NOT WANT PORN OF ANY SHAPE OR FORM ON MY HUB!!!! I Also stress that the OP's police this with brute force. I also welcome OP's suggestions to modify rules, or add/take away(with reason, and run by me first), and what not. The name WILL stay the same though. I do want to keep the integrity of the PC Engine name in tact to hold true to the scene i believed in and worked so hard to obtain(collection wise) through time and money( and nights with barely any sleep from scouring and leeching the net) and love.

Memberships will still have to go through this site, but you may invite others from other hubs/groups/etc. to this site for registration, by contacting me.

I have kept the hub pc engine exclusive for about 6 years now, and in the last 2 1/2, it has seen members slowly drift away for many reasons, adn still retains  devotees fron many years ago, when they have time to log on. The hub has been on hiatus for a good 6 months i believe, and i have finally brought it back up, but since i don't have the time to monitor it all day like i did when i was a single and unemployed bum, i'd like to draw some new faces to the pc engine scene, and see the hub flourish once again, when it would get lag time from too many users on at once and leeching the net at the same time. Those were the days!

So come one, come all, and get yer pc engine fix, and whatever else you enjoy gaming with!

The PTokax MOTD welcome/warning message will change to reflect this new change, but i haven't done it yet, so this is a heads up to IGNORE the warning to not share anything but NEC related material, as it is now welcome. It will change by this weekend.

Sorry about the downtime for the hub, but my J: drive needed checked for consistency, so as soon as it is done(tomorrow for sure) the hub will be up and running again.

My psu was fried during a thunderstorm, so until the new one arrives in the mail, the hub is down. I pray that is all that got fried. But it was the only thing that had blue electrical smoke coming out the back. Ordered me a silencer psu from power cooling and supply 750watt. They make some awesome psu's. My last one was the500 watter from them. Shohld have it by wednesday.

It took me longer than expected, but that was becasue my new PSU had a 24 pin motherboard connector, and my MOBO connector housing was 20 pin. I had to wait another 2 weeks to buy an adaptor, and then another 5 days for it to arrive. The hub is now back up!
