MindRec - MGS in action

The MGS prototype is done, and has been added to the vertical shooter framework.

You can now download v0.03a from the shoot.pce link.

What is so special about this? well, there are some enemies in it (and yes they just appear/disappear, I know...) -- but they are all data driven. That is, there is no code in the ROM that tells the enemies how to act on screen.

I still need to add some more space saving improvements before it is ready for primetime, but this clearly shows that the concept works.

And also, a tentative name has been selected for the game. The name is not being released yet, as a little more investigation is needed to make sure that no one owns trademarks on the name.

more to come...

Site Update - Power Golf Reviewed

Check out the most excellent review of one of the better console golf games:

"...Overall we have a solid game I'm proud to say kept me interested and wanting to improve my skills.  It's also a lot easier and cheaper, I've discovered, to plug this bad boy in and play a few rounds than it is to wait for decent weather, load the clubs and what-not into the car, then drive to the course, wait for a tee time, then wait some more as an overweight family of four takes their time hunting for their "special" blue ball in the trees before you can finally tee off."

PC Engine City is a Music/Radio show featuring the best in PC Engine CD and HuCard music.  Sunteam_paul did a great job on this production, as he did on the first episode.  Make sure you check out both episodes.
