A Brief History

In The End

NEC Japan developed a 32-bit game system in 1994 called the PC-FX.  This system pre-dated Sega’s Saturn, and was technically pretty fancy.  But the PC-FX didn’t stay around very long.  Nintendo and Sega were very well established, and with the promise of new systems from each of them on the way, there wasn’t much interest in NEC’s new system.  The PC-FX is a collector’s item and as a result there is still a cult following of PC-FX users to this day.
