Review:
What's this!? Bonk is HUGE! Wait a
minute, now he is tiny! What is going on here!? Is Bonk on drugs!?
These "different color" candy seem to have strong effects on Bonk in
this game. Could this make the Bonk series any better? Let’s find out:
Sound - 7.5/10
Once again, the sound effects are the same. The music has gone
downwards. It's just not the same catchy tunes as before. These songs
just don't have the melody that keeps your attention going. Yet, the
music is still OK, just no where near as good as its
predecessors. The CD-ROM version features better music, obviously.
Graphics - 10/10
The graphics are the same as Bonk's Revenge. So, like my Bonk's Revenge
review, I give the graphics to this game a 10 as well. Actually now
that I think about it, some levels in this game are more detailed than
the others. Otherwise it's the same as Bonk's Revenge.
Game play - 8/10
Same tactics used in the previous Bonks, but just not as fun. The game
is fairly easy, but still has some hard points to it. I say this game
might be a little harder than Bonk's Revenge. However, there are some
good things about the game play in this game. First of all, unlike the
previous Bonk games, you can have two players in it! It's pretty cool,
but it does have some problems to it. Now there is a white Bonk and a
dark Bonk. Secondly, the bonus stages in this game are the best! They
even beat most of the almighty Bonk's Revenge levels! Lastly, there is
this little thing in part of a level in which you can play some mini
games such as Bonk Volleyball and Bonk Wrestling. These are really fun
to play, even more fun with two players! If these things weren't in
this game, I would have gave the game play about a 6.5 to 7.5.
Re-Play - 7/10
Since the game is not as fun as the other games, it's not as fun to
re-play. Sure it's always fun to re-play the bonus stages and mini
games, but you just can't get to those instantly.
Overall - 7/10
The game play is what makes this game have a worst rating than the
other Bonk games. It's no where near as fun. That's all I really need
to say here.
