Review: King Drool is at it
again! Bonk
must get himself prepared for a new adventure in the dino world! By the
power
of Bonk's huge head, I will give you my review for the top of the Bonk
series,
"Bonk's Revenge".
Graphics - 10/10
The graphics have improved tremendously in this game from the previous
Bonk. His
sprite is improved, making him look clearer than the first one. The
backgrounds
are detailed well, and the bosses have a nice look to them as well. In
this
game, Bonk has a new sprite for when he is mad. This may sound strange,
but
when you eat three meats, his head gets ever bigger than before! He
turns even
more evil and goes on a bonking rampage!
Sound - 10/10
The sound effects are pretty much the same, but the music has improved.
The
original first level song is not in the game, but all the songs in this
game
get stuck in your head fast - such as the bonus stage song.
Game
Play - 10/10
While the game has all the same actions used in the first one, the game
is a
lot less hard. This isn't a bad thing. In fact, this isn't bad at all.
It makes
the game more fun. This game can still put up very hard challenges, but
once
you have played it some many times, you know exactly how to counter
them. This
game is a lot more fun than the first because of this. The
difficultness is
just perfect. Not too hard, but not too easy.
Now, the bonus stages in the first one were...... ehh.... not too
great. Some
were fun, but most of them sucked. In this game, however, the bonus
stages are
rocking! They all are fun, and have their own little tricks to them.
Here's a tip: In the ice and floret spring bonus stages, don't forget
that
nifty little feature Bonk has in which he can bounce off a wall by
hitting it
with his head. This is extremely important for these incase you missed
a jump
and falling into a ditch.
Re-play - 10/10
This game just NEVER gets boring! I have beaten this game many times
and still
don't get sick of it! It's like it's an impossibility to get sick of
this game,
it always grabs your attention.
Overall - 10/10
This game truly deserves it's 10. The graphics, sound, game play,
re-play value
are all just perfect. This game never starts a bore, and is always
there for
you when you need fun.
