Review: It's almost as if Namco is trying to sneak this
title in under Hudson Soft's "Soldier" (Gunhed)
series with the name. By that I mean that the name sounds similar
to Final Soldier. My theory falls short,
however, due to the fact that Final Soldier
was released a year following Final Blaster. Well, it is a top-down
shooter. But it is quite different from Hudson Soft's legendary series.
This one is more like Raiden Trad than anything. Graphics are pretty
good. You can save up your weapon up for a super shot - what a novel
idea. Powerups are decent but there aren't many. Sound and
music blow, however. If you closed your eyes and listened you would
swear it was a NES game. It gets boring after a while too.
