Review:
Wee-haw! This game is a blast!
This
is one of those titles in Hudson Soft's "Soldier" series ("Gunhed"
series in Japan") and boy does it kick some major ass! This is my
personal favorite in the series (Blazing Lazers with a close
second).
I love how you can choose your own weapon configurations before you
even
sit in the cockpit. Graphics are really well done and the music
is
kicking. Sound FX are top notch and playability rocks.
Perhaps
I'm a bit biased because this is the ONLY Japanese game that I bought
and
actually enjoyed. The "Alien Approaching" voice over is cute when
the screen displays "Enemy Approaching" in a huge font. Close
enough
for me! That's basically my only beef! Oh, the second level
is kind of lousy. Those are my only beefs. Oh, .... No,
those
are my only beefs. Pick 'er up.
