Review: Ninja
Spirit is a very cool side-scrolling
platform game. It is all about ninja, featuring plenty of ninja, cool
levels,
and very cool traditional ninja weaponry. In fact, I'd say the weapons
make the game. You have a sword, shurikens (throwing stars), bamboo
bombs,
and a sicle&chain, which rocks. Each has its ideal applications and
can be powered up. The biggest downside of this game is that it is
short.
The last level is hard, because it is all about memorization of path
and
timing, but by being so novel, is a worthy challenge. But after that,
you
bomb a big bad boring boss (oh yeah, the bosses could use animation...)
and that's it. Anyway, the graphics are nice, the sounds are great, the
music is perfect, and the gameplay is fun.
