Review:
This is definitely one of the better console golf games.  Everything feels like it was made with the intent of creating a good game, rather than just trying to create a game.  Graphics, sound, and playability are all up to par.  Heh - I bet I'm the first to use that pun in the review of a golf game...

Graphics: 7/10

Nicely done.  I won't say that they are extremely well done.   They suit the purpose of an uncomplicated golf game rather well.   Instead of the focus of the game being the traditional behind-the-player view, you are presented with a top-down view of your current hole (somehow that just sounds dirty), with a little window showing your player and shot energy bar as you swing.  You don't have to wait each time you proceed down the fairway for the trees and backgrounds to render, which is nice - unlike some of those "other" golf games of which we will not mention.

Sound: 7/10

Yeah, this game features sound.  Does it fit the game?  You bet.  Is it stellar?  No.  You get the usual driver "thwack", putter "ting", and cup "cubbicupple" (I just made that up).

Does the game have music?  You bet.  Is it rockin?  No, but why the hell would you expect that from a golf game, you sweater-wearing asparagus-eating hypochondriac!?  The tunes are actually not that bad, however, and don't get annoying after the first few minutes like a few other games I can think of.

Playability: Fun/10

Overall we have a solid game I'm proud to say kept me interested and wanting to improve my skills.  It's also a lot easier and cheaper, I've discovered, to plug this bad boy in and play a few rounds than it is to wait for decent weather, load the clubs and what-not into the car, then drive to the course, wait for a tee time, then wait some more as an overweight family of four takes their time hunting for their "special" blue ball in the trees before you can finally tee off.   Let me play through, you jackasses!

Off to a good start....

Wee bit of a slice....

Water Schmater.  I dub thee ball "Jesus" and thou shalt walketh on water.

God dammit Jesus!
